Yohance Marshall

CEO & Co-Founder, Can Bou Play Foundation

Yohance Marshall is a former Trinidad and Tobago international defender with a distinguished professional football career spanning the MLS, USL, Finland, and Asia. He also was a standout collegiate player at the University of South Florida and represented Trinidad and Tobago at the youth and senior national levels, including the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup where he scored a historic goal against Mexico.

Currently, Yohance serves as a National Youth Coach with the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, where he mentors and develops the next generation of national talent. As CEO and Co-Founder of the Can Bou Play Foundation, he leads the organization’s vision to empower youth through sport, education, and mentorship. Yohance is deeply committed to using football as a tool for social transformation, with a focus on mental health, inclusion, and community leadership.

Julius James

Senior Director of Social Development & Co-Founder, Can Bou Play Foundation

Julius James is a retired professional footballer and former Trinidad and Tobago national team defender with over 350 appearances in top-tier leagues including Major League Soccer (MLS), NASL, and USL. A standout collegiate player at the University of Connecticut, he was a 2008 MLS first-round draft pick and went on to play for clubs like D.C. United, Houston Dynamo, and Columbus Crew. Julius also represented Trinidad and Tobago at the U17 World Cup and made 56 appearances across youth and senior national teams.

Julius has been part of Inter Miami CF since its inception, working within one of the top youth academy systems in the United States. He previously served as the head coach of the club’s Special Olympics Unified Team and now leads as one of the Academy’s Head Coaches, where he develops elite talent while instilling discipline, character, and purpose. As Co-Founder and Senior Director of Social Development at the Can Bou Play Foundation, Julius draws on his professional experience and leadership to drive community outreach, mental wellness programs, and mentorship initiatives for at-risk youth across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider diaspora.
